Crest made up two matches at Southeast-Cherokee versus the Lancers and Marmaton Valley on Wednesday.

The Lady Lancers beat the Wildcats in two sets 25-23 and 25-9 before losing to Southeast 25-16 and 25-10.

In the match versus Marmaton Valley, Cassie Bowen had six blocks, five kills and five digs and Camryn  Strickler had seven kills and three blocks and Aubree Holloran had four digs and four aces.

Regan Godderz had two aces and Lindsey Godderz had one ace.

“Serving was huge in this match,” head coach Abigail Hermreck said. “I knew we served well but I did not realize how well until I went over the stats. The girls play focused and together.”

Things didn’t go as well versus the host Lancers as Strickler led the way with four kills a block and seven digs. Bowen had eight digs, two kills and a block and Jewel Armstrong had two aces. Anna Hermreck had three digs and a block and Holloran had an ace.

“Southeast played very well with lots of energy and intensity,” Hermreck said. “We made some great defensive plays and passed well but we could not get our offense running.”

With the regular season over, the Lady Lancers will head to Moran on Tuesday for the 1A regional.

Crest is the two-seed in the tournament and will play 0-30 seven-seed Altoona-Midway in the opening round. A win there will pit them against either three-seed Marmaton Valley or six-seed Sedan.
