Lancers dominate in sweep

A pair of sterling pitching performances by Trevor Church and Avery Blaufuss were more than enough for the Lancers to sweep visiting Oswego Monday. Crest's offense was potent throughout as well.

COLONY — Crest High’s Avery Blaufuss was dominant on the mound Monday.

He allowed just two hits and struck out eight batters in a 15-0 romp over Oswego.

Funny thing was, Blaufuss may have been Crest’s second-best pitcher on the day.

Sophomore Trevor Church tossed a no-hitter while striking out 10 in Crest’s 10-0 victory in the opener.

The sweep keeps the Lancer Express on the right track at 10-0 on the season.

Crest led 3-0 after two innings in the opener before busting the game open in the middle innings.
