Iola’s Community Involvement Task Force is seeking the public input on a pair of billboards.

The billboards are on opposite sides of Iola on U.S. 169 and measure 12 feet tall by 22 feet wide.

Organizers are seeking designs that tell the story of Iola pride, creativity and community spirit.

The design should be Iola-centric, and simple to read. After all, motorists will be zooming by at 65 mph, and must be able to easily read and decipher the billboard’s message.

Design proposals are due Nov. 15, at which time the top three will be presented to the CITF committee for final selection.

Proposals can be submitted via email at iolacitfpride@gmail.com, or sent to CITF at City of Iola, 2 W. Jackson, Iola, KS 6649.
