Over 60 attended Hope Unlimited’s gala at Humboldt’s Union Works restaurant Tuesday night.

A live auction, conducted by Reuben Schrock of Purdy, Mo., brought in over $7,000 for the nonprofit, said Dorothy Sparks, its executive director.

“This was our first year with a live auction, and we already have ideas of how to improve next year,” said Sparks. “Our goal is for attendance to break 100.”
