Iola High’s junior varsity track and field team hosted a meet Monday to complete its 2021 season.
The Mustangs brought home the top spot in the boys standings, followed by Humboldt in fourth and Marmaton Valley in fifth.
Meanwhile, Marmaton Valley’s girls were second in the eight team field behind Anderson County. Iola took fifth and Humboldt sixth.
Individual champions from local schools were Iola’s Ally Ellis, Caiden Cloud, Japheth Rutoh, Cara Porter, Hunter Mittlemeier and Justin McCullough; Marmaton Valley’s Kaylee Becker, Janae Granere, Kristyn Snyrychova, Bryce Ensminger and Evan Kent; Humboldt’s Sam Neeley, Aiden Gean, Mateo Miller and its girls 4×800-meter relay team.
